I bought the same thing and it works wonderful..! If you want to record when detected, then subscription is purchasable. But I put a micro SD card in and can record for a week and change out the SD cards weekly. I can also be away and check camera live. And take snap shot on my command. I think it's a great investment.

I think a lot of the specs are from the M5A. I believe this one has a Full HD (1080p) screen, a punchole front camera and a T616 Chip. Should be quite an improvement 🙂

Its actually 8GB RAM. The other 8GB is virtual RAM as it uses a part of the storage to emulate memory. Still its a heck of a deal for around $100🙂. i picked one up today

If you put a memory card you wouldn’t need cloud store. That’s where they charge you plus upgrades. The only way they cut off WiFi if you turn the power off. You’ll need to hook up a power source outside that’s always on. This guy maybe downgrading the product simply he praised it then he downgraded it. He has security cam all over why buy this. Not sure his motive. All security cam has your data.

To Stonemaster...I'm not sure where your expertise lies, but definitely not from a legal or technical standpoint. First Facebook, RUclips, Twitter, etc. and all all-electronic items (phones, cameras, tv's, etc.) that are coming in from other countries like CHINA have TOS (terms of service) when you click "accept" that allows them, (company, 3rd parties, to include law enforcement w/subpoena/warrant) to monitor, logon/s, service, and keep data. I have several TV's that if I request for service via the internet, then I know they can see where I am and know what I look at and if a camera is installed in the tv watch me. Second Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) I learned this in 7th grade business class, the buyer needs to be aware of what he or she is buying. If you don't read the TOS, then you can't get pissed at the product or the company. Third the product that you showed is a cheap knock off made where "CHINA." There are better products without storage fees or cloud costs. People just need to take their time and do the homework. Lastly, I commend you on attempting to educate the masses, but know this when it comes to trade and buying products or social media we knowingly or not accept the BS that comes with it. Something to think about...I bet you or someone in your home as an X-Box or Playstion??? Imagine a search warrant being executed on that.....guess what you accepted the TOS.
